What is Wilder Communities?
Wilder Communities is all about helping you in your neighbourhood, towns and village across Hertfordshire and Middlesex to make them greener, wilder and richer in nature.
We are all facing a crisis for our natural world. The Wildlife Trust wants both wildlife and people to be able to benefit from a healthy environment. We’re restoring broken ecosystems and returning missing species. We are putting nature's recovery at the heart of everything we do.
But we cannot do this on our own. We need many more people on nature's side and we can achieve so much more when we come together. We know that if just one in four people across our counties takes action that will be enough to change the hearts and minds of the majority and create the momentum we need.
We all have different skills, knowledge, and experience we can offer. The Wildlife Trust will help and support you in your wilder journey - we have wildlife knowledge and expertise in community engagement and campaigning. But no one knows your local area better than you and it is your time, voice and action that will make the difference.
There are many different ways we can help, which you can find out about here. If you need any support or want to tell us what you are doing please let us know, or scroll down to add your existing projects to our Wilder Actions Map!
