Celebrate the life of a loved one or mark a special occasion with a dedicated plaque
A specially engraved plaque is a meaningful way to celebrate life’s milestones, such as weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays, or to honour the memory of a loved one. By dedicating a plaque, you’ll not only create a lasting tribute but also help support our essential work across Hertfordshire and Middlesex, preserving wildlife and natural habitats for future generations to cherish and protect.
Plaques will be displayed in our beautiful wildlife garden at Grebe House, located on the edge of Verluamium Park in St Albans.
Choose your plaque
Our dedication plaques are available in two designs: Silver Oak Leaf and Gold Acorn. Each comes with a minimum donation requirement and is displayed for a set number of years. After this, you can choose to renew or we can return it to you to treasure in your home or garden,
If you'd prefer not to pay online, you can make payments by cheque, BACS transfer, or over the phone with a card. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the team at fundraising@hmwt.org and we will be happy to help.

Can I visit to see my plaque on display?
You are welcome to come and visit the Grebe House garden to see your plaque in place. The garden is normally open on weekdays 9.00am - 4.30pm. It is a good idea to give us a call or email in advance to let us know you are planning a visit just in case there are any planned closures.
How long will my order take?
We will notify you once your plaque is on display, but please allow six weeks from receipt of your order.
Can the Trust claim Gift Aid on my donation?
If you are a UK taxpayer, the value of your donation can be increased by 25% under the Gift Aid scheme at no extra cost to you.
If you are eligible and making your donation online, please complete the Gift Aid Declaration, included in the donation section. If you are paying by an alternative method you can complete our online declaration form here
What happens to my plaque?
Our team will contact you 2 months before the set display term ends, to see if you would like to renew. Alternatively, you can request to have it returned to you at this time.
Plaque specifications
Silver Oak Leaf: plaques are made from solid stainless steel and measure 60 mm x 60 mm. They can contain a maximum of 60 characters (including spaces). When completing the order form, please follow the guidance for the maximum number of characters allowed per line. The plaques are deep engraved with paint filled text in black.
Gold Acorn: plaques are made from solid brass and measure 60 mm x 60 mm. They can contain a maximum of 80 characters (including spaces). When completing the order form, please follow the guidance for the maximum number of characters allowed per line. The plaques are deep engraved with paint filled text in white.
