About the reserve
This nature reserve is split into two sites – The Roundings, a rare Hertfordshire open heathland, and Goldingtons, an area of mixed secondary woodland.
On The Roundings, the southern section of the reserve, plants such as heather, heath bedstraw, tormentil and gorse are among some of the heathland species to be found and the ponds and heath are home to good numbers of reptiles and amphibians. Goldingtons, the northern section of the reserve, consists of hornbeam coppice and oak and birch woodland.
Sit back and enjoy a virtual tour of Hertford Heath.
