Becoming a Business Member is a great first step in developing a lasting relationship with the Wildlife Trust and demonstrates to your staff, partners and customers that your business is committed to local wildlife, people and the environment.

Financial support from local companies is vital to our work.  It helps us to create and care for places that people can enjoy and wildlife depends on.  It also helps us to advise and encourage people to make space for wildlife however big or small. With your support, we can provide outdoor activities and events for adults and children across Hertfordshire and Middlesex to get closer to nature.

Our partnerships range from working with small, local enterprises to set up cause-related marketing initiatives or provide land management advice, to working with larger companies to develop a programme of funding opportunities or event sponsorship. We also have a number of national partnerships with branches in Hertfordshire and Middlesex wanting to encourage staff and customers to give back to the local community.

Whether you have £200 or £20,000 we will direct your sponsorship so that it makes the most impact. We are currently seeking support for the following aspects of our work:

• Community events and activities
• New 4x4 Trust vehicles for our Nature Reserves Team
• Nature reserve management
• Multi-year conservation projects
• Grazing animals (e.g. our Shetland and Herdwick sheep)
• Information panels for our nature reserves
• Improving visitor access and experience (e.g. repairing boardwalks, installing way-markers)
• Photograph and video equipment to record and promote our local wildlife habitats

Each year, thousands of business employees join their local Wildlife Trusts for group volunteering events, awareness talks and training workshops, all while connecting with their colleagues.

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust works with local businesses to engage their employees in meaningful efforts to support nature's recovery and address the pressing challenges of the climate and nature crises.

We offer opportunities for your teams to make a positive impact through a range of activities, from group volunteering to awareness and wellbeing sessions.

Working for Wildlife Day – come together as a group to carry out practical conservation activities at a Trust nature reserve or partnership site – from £1,500 + VAT

Wildlife Experience Day – come together to learn about, record and be inspired by nature at a Trust nature reserve or partnership site – from £1,500 + VAT

Lunchtime Guided Walk – discover the wildlife on your doorstep with an informal group walk to nearby places of wildlife interest – from £322 + VAT

Lunchtime Wildlife Talk / Workshop – learn a new skill together or find out what you can do to help wildlife with a talk or workshop as part of your working day - £596 + VAT (based on 2-hour workshop)

Come together as a team to take on a challenge and raise funds that will help protect local wildlife.

You and your colleagues can take part in a variety of challenges near you. These events provide a unique way to boost staff morale through a shared sense of achievement in completing a difficult challenge event to the pride in supporting a well-respected local charity.

There are a number of UK-based challenge on offer by events organisers such as Inflatable 5k events, the Ultra Challenge organised by Action Challenge, Pure Outdoor, Time Outdoors and many more.
